Meetings, events and functions
• All meetings, events and functions pay the full hire charge.
• Organisers must include set up and clear up time in their booking.
Local charity events and fundraisers
• Onibury playgroup, school and church fundraising events are half price hire charge.
• Other free community events can contact the committee to discuss reduced or waived hire charges e.g. lent lunch or Christmas lunch events.
• Village community events where the village hall is used, the hall time is free as the donation towards the community event from the village hall committee.
• Use of the hall for village hall fundraisers is free of charge.
• There is no hire charge for setting up charity events and fundraisers.
Birthday parties, weddings and occasions
• Parties must include set up and clear up time in their booking, which is charged at £10 per hour.
• Onibury Village Hall does not accept bookings for 18th or 21st birthdays.
• Bouncy castles are accepted but the provider must have Public Liability Insurance of £5m or more and this needs to be provided to the committee.
Funerals
• Funerals are hired at the standard hire charge.
• The Village Hall Volunteers can help to set up the hall if required and/ or liaise with caterers to discuss practical arrangements.
All day hire/ extended events
• Bookings for extended periods of use for the village hall (e.g. elections, weekend long hire) should contact the committee for a hire charge.
