Capacity and layouts
The maximum capacity is 100 people in the village hall. However, that is for largely standing events only. We've tried to give an idea of different layouts and the number of guests that can be seated below. Some events will require a Temporary Event Notice, which is the responsibility o the hirer to obtain.
Celebration events - 80 seated (up to 100 people in total)
A fishbone layout with one long central table and diagonal side tables will comfortably seat 80 guests. The stage area can be used for a top table or entertainment.
Children's parties - 40 seated (up to 100 people in total)
A popular layout is to have the chairs down the side of the hall and in front of the bar with tables in front, leaving space for play and party games in the centre of the room and the stage available for an entertainer or disco.
Dances and social events - 35 seated (up to 100 people in total)
For dances and social events with the bar open, chairs can line the sides of the hall with tables in front, allowing space for a dance floor area and the stage for a band, DJ or entertainer.
Business meetings
With its close proximity to the A49 and free parking, Onibury Village Hall makes an ideal venue for meetings. Organisers can arrange the light weight tables into a horseshoe, boardroom or classroom style set up to best suit their purposes.
